
About Evanne
Evie Bell is a JD/MBA Candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management, committed to advancing Indigenous economic reconciliation and gender equity in law and business. She is the founder and President of the Rotman Indigenous Business Association and serves as President of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association, where she has launched new initiatives to expand professional pathways and foster inclusion for Indigenous students. As Vice President of Women’s Relations for the JD/MBA Association, she has worked to build stronger networks and support systems for women at the intersection of law and business.
Beyond the JD/MBA program, Evie has experience in business consulting at Ernst & Young, where she collaborated on client transformation strategies and supported the development of digital customer transformations. She also has experience in the startup world through the Entrepreneurship Hatchery, where she assisted startups in securing seed funding and lead workshops to strengthen early-stage founders’ business development skills. These roles deepened her interest in leveraging strategy and capital to drive equitable growth. Through the BMO GATE MBA Fellowship, Evie aims to explore the intersections of business strategy, Indigenous knowledge systems, and economic reconciliation, contributing research that highlights pathways for more equitable participation in the economy.
