Hyeun Lee joins the Institute for Gender and the Economy as a postdoctoral fellow. She received her PhD in Management from the University of Maryland. Her dissertation work investigates organizational conditions that explain gender differences in returns from having talented peers. In her current research, she is interested in how organizations utilize and evaluate women’s capabilities, and explores ways in which diversity and inclusion in organizations and entrepreneurship help to build sustainable businesses. In her research, she employs experimental methods (field, lab, natural experiments) and examines various contexts including past entrepreneurs, security analysts, and executives.
